Halloween Explanation Writing

What is halloween? I will provide you with many reasons as to what halloween is.

Firstly, Halloween is a celebration on the night of October 31st. It is most practiced in the United States and Canada. ... For Christians it is the eve of All Hallows Day, which begins the three-day observance of All hallow tide.

Secondly, the night of 31 October, the eve of All Saints' Day, often celebrated by children dressing up in frightening masks and costumes. Halloween is thought to be associated with the Celtic festival Samhain, when ghosts and spirits were believed to be abroad.

Thirdly, all halloween, all hallows eve or all saints eve is a celebration observed in a number of countries on 31 October, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows' Day.

Fourthly, Halloween is the evening before the Christian holy days of All Hallows Day (also known as All Saints or Hallowmas) on 1 November and All Souls Day on 2 November, thus giving the holiday on 31 October the full name of All Hallows Eve (meaning the evening before All Hallows Day).

Lastly, all Hallows Eve falls on 31st October each year, and is the day before All Hallows Day, also known as All Saints Day in the Christian calendar. The Church traditionally held a vigil on All Hallows Eve when worshippers would prepare themselves with prayers and fasting prior to the feast day itself.

I trust that I have given you enough information about what halloween is.

Why we should drink water.

How do you feel when people say you have to drink water? In your mind you may think it's yuck, there's no flavour or you might not want to drink it. But believe me after you read this your gonna wish you always drunk water.

Have you ever wondered how long you can survive without food and drink water? Well the answer is 3 week's you can last up to 3 weeks without eating food and just drinking water, but after the third week you can die because our bodies need water and food to strengthen our muscles.

Did you know at least 60% of the adult body is made of water and every living cell in the body needs it to keep functioning. But firstly, if you don’t drink water then you become dehydrated and then you will automatically use water from your body that we’re not suppose to use and it can cause you to die.

Drinking at least 8 glasses a day will help rid the body and skin of toxins. Everyone will not agree that water consumption will improve skin… but it certainly can't hurt. Many people often report that by increasing their water intake, their skin has a more radiant glow. Drinking water also helps the skin do it's job of regulating the body's temperature through sweating.

I trust that I have given you enough information as to why we should drink water.

Dogs vs Cats

Surely you would agree with me that Dog's make better pets than cats. I will provide you with many reasons as to why dog's make better pets than cats.

In my life I have had a dog and a cat and believe me I know for sure that dog's are better than cats, and in my opinion you should agree with me. I strongly believe dogs are better. Firstly dog's are better than cats because dogs have more ability than cats, and cats are nothing similar to a dog.

Did you know that dog's listen way better than cats do. Dog's understand what their owner tells them or commands them to do. Although some dog's may not know how to take control they are still very good listeners.
Dog’s can hear from far distance and can get bad vibes on might possibly happen. Did you know if you're trying to tell a dog something they will tilt their head try understand but cats will ignore and take a nap.

Secondly dog's can end up becoming your best friend. Whenever you're having a bad day your dog is there, if your feeling sad your dog is there, whenever you're feeling down your dog is always there for you. Dog's make you feel happy when they play around with you, jump on you and lick you in the face which can make you laugh. Did you know that dog's can sense if you're sad.

Lastly Dogs will wake you up if the house is on fire. Cats will quietly sneak out the back door and that's why I strongly believe dogs are better. Dog's are protectors for an e.g if an intruder tried breaking into you're house your dog will either bark at it warning it to stay away or wake you up so you will know other than a cat it will just meow at the intruder.
for an e.g if an intruder came into your house your cat can’t do anything but compared to a dog, dogs can protect you. Majority of the dogs will do nothing but protect its land or owner.

I trust that I have given you enough information as to why dog's are better than cats and I hope you think so too.

Recount Writing

It was just a regular Friday afternoon, where it felt like the sun would no longer shine. Outside, it was dark like how you would see it in a scary movie.

I glanced outside and saw that a few water drops were falling down from the sky and gently landing on the leaves thinking that the rain would stop. But then all of a sudden it just started to rain harder, the clouds started to cover the sky, but they weren’t just regular white clouds they were dark grey clouds. The wind started howling and the leaves scattered across the concrete.

The house shook for a few seconds, my heart felt struck with fear. I hoped that I was hallucinating in my head. I kept repeating to myself I’m just seeing things. But then a tree from just down the road had snapped and fell onto the side of the road. The drain was flooded with leaves and water started too flood the road.

At my house there was at least four steps to go into my house and the water had reached the second step. My two brothers decided to splash around wetting each other thinking it was funny, a few seconds later thunder struck across the sky.

I lead myself to the dining room table with my phone. I sat as quiet as a mouse checking out a few youtube videos. But then all of a sudden I saw a flash on the corner of my eye, I thought someone had taken a photo of me but really it was lighting, It was as bright as a flashlight and the same size as one too. I quickly closed the curtains and made my way into my room.

Our hallway seemed very dark. My room looked as dark as a forest. I looked outside and saw that a few trees had fallen onto other people’s property. I didn’t know what to do. My mind was just focused on the storm.
Suddenly, I realised the wifi wasn’t working, I quickly went to check if the lights we're working but they weren’t and I realised that the power went out. I waited a couple of minutes and suddenly the wifi turned back on and the storm stopped.

I was so delighted that the storm had departed. This was one of the worst storms I’ve ever been through and I hope in the future there will never be one like this again.

How is our food digested?

How is our food digested?
I will provide you with information as to how food is digested.

When food is placed into your mouth it is masticated by your teeth and helped by enzymes in your saliva. Thereafter the food is then moved to the back of your mouth by your tongue.

The food then passes down into a long pipe called the oesophagus and into your stomach, where it’s broken down into juices. Food then travels to the small intestine and is further broken down. Food will then be converted into blood and will travel to all parts of your body. It helps your energy and body functions.

Undigested food then moves into large intestine where the water is absorbed. It then passes into your rectum and comes out as waste out of your anus.

This is all my information about how food is digested I hope you now know how food is digested.

The Water Cycle

Have you ever wondered how the water cycle works. I will provide you with many explanations as to how it works.

Did you know that we still have the same amount of water from when earth was created. Water is recycled and the water cycle is known as hydro-logical cycle. Water in form of rain fills rivers, dams, lakes and the sea.

On a hot day the water will then molecules from rivers, lakes, streams and the sea and is heated by the sun and turned into water vapor and rises into the air.
Water molecules forms into clouds and by the process also known as condensation.

The water cycle describes how water evaporates from the surface of the earth, rises into the atmosphere, cools and condenses into rain or snow in clouds, and falls again to the surface as precipitation.

The water cycle describes the movement of water throughout Earth's surface, atmosphere, and underground. Water is constantly moving from one place to another through the processes of evaporation, precipitation, transpiration, condensation, and runoff. Water in the water cycle can exist as a solid, liquid, or gas.

I hope I have provided you with many explanations as to how the water cycle works.

Why we should drink water

Why we should drink water? I will provide you with many information
as to why we should drink water.

Did you know drinking water helps you concentrate while driving and studying. Why is drinking water important? water is important because it contains oxygen and hydrogen and Oxygen means a colourless, odourless reactive gas.

Drinking water removes toxins from body and also washes and cleans it out. If you don't drink enough water your kidneys will prevent body stones and you will have to go through surgery to remove it. Too many people buy face lotion to keep your skin healthy, instead you can just drink water and your face will be naturally healthy.

If you don’t drink water, you will die. It's that important. Depending on our environment, we can live only a few days without water - maybe a week. We can live much longer without food.

Sometimes we think we are hungry, when actually we are thirsty. Our body just starts turning on all the alarms when we ignore it. For those of you trying to drop some pounds.

I hope I have provided you with many information as to why we should drink water more often.

How butterflies are formed

Have you ever wondered how butterflies are formed? I will provide you with information as to how butterflies are formed.

A butterfly starts its life as a round, oval or cylindrical egg. The shape of the egg depends on the type of butterfly it is. The butterfly lays its eggs at the bottom of a leaf.

The butterfly chooses the leaf to lay its eggs on. It chooses a leaf that the caterpillar will be able too eat when it hatches. If the butterfly chooses a leaf the caterpillar won't be able to eat. the caterpillar will die.

For butterfly eggs to hatch, it can take about four weeks in the peak of the summer in warmer climates. The eggs takes 5 to 10 days. Once the eggs has hatched the caterpillar will then eat the leaf it was born on.

One day when the caterpillar stops eating it then hangs upside down from a twig or leaf and turns itself a silky pupa or molts into a shiny chrysalis.

Once the caterpillar has transformed into a butterfly it comes out of the chrysalis/pupa before it can start flying it needs too pump blood in it's wings because the wings are flat against its body.

Next the butterfly will mate and lay round oval cylindrical eggs and the cycle will start all over again.

I hope I have given you enough information about how butterflies are formed.

Why we shouldn't hold animlas in captivity

Most people would agree why animals should not be held in captivity I will persuade you with many reasons why animals shouldn’t be held in captivity.

Firstly God created animals to live free because they are born free. How would you feel if you were locked in the cage and killed?
When animals live in the wild or the forest they live healthy happy and free.
Animals natural habitat is the forest not the zoo.
God created some animals to live in different places like polar bears live in Antarctica and camels live in the desert.

When animals are in the zoo people mock and tease the animals.
Sometimes people throw objects at the animal which can harm them and cause injuries. Animals can get really angry and upset that sometimes they can attack. How would you feel if people threw stuff at you?

Secondly although animals are kept in the zoo, they still get provided with unnatural food which contains chemicals. This can also affect the health of the animals and make them very sick. Natural food for the animals is beneficial for their bodies which keeps them healthy and strong. This natural food can only be found in their natural environment. When an animal from the zoo is released to the wild it will not be able to sustain itself because in the zoo it was provided with food.

Tigers are born to hunt but when they are held in captivity they get provided with meat which is not good for them. Tigers can get very lazy by lying around and eating too much. If a tiger gets released back into the wild they will die because they have lost the ability for hunting.

I think birds should not be held in captivity because they will lose the ability to hunt. When you see a bird in their natural habitat they are healthy happy and free. In the zoo birds get provided with food so that they don't have to fly to get their food which makes them lazy and they will lose the natural ability to hunt, fly and will soon die.

Thirdly can you imagine spending your entire life in a small space that isn’t big enough to do anything you enjoy doing, like playing with friends, exploring, or traveling? Instead of living freely with your family in your home, you’re stuck in an unfamiliar place, often alone or with other people you don’t know, while hundreds of loud people crowd around you and stare. Does that sound like fun? Of course not! But that’s what life is like for animals in zoos.

Because people love seeing baby animals at zoos, lots of zoos breed animals to make more babies, and, as a result, make lots of money. When babies grow up, they aren’t as popular. Zoos often trade or sell adult animals who aren’t making them as much money as when they were younger. Can you even imagine someone getting rid of you just because you weren’t a baby anymore?

Most people would agree that when you really think about it, zoos are basically just prisons that leave animals with no ways to defend themselves or escape dangerous situations.Other animals have died after eating rubbish that was thrown into their cages, and some animals have even been beaten or killed by people who stole them from their natural habitat

I hope I have provided you with many reasons as to why we shouldn’t hold animals in captivity. I trust that I have convinced you beyond doubt.
